Premier League confirm schedule for Christmas fixtures apost

The Premier League gets back underway on Boxing Day following the World Cup and the TV schedule for all of the festive fixtures has now been announced with supporters set for long travels

ThePremier Leaguehave finally confirmed their TV schedule for the post-Christmas period with the league set to roar back into life following a break for theWorld Cup.

Domestic leagues will pause next month with players set to travel over to Qatar for the tournament. The action will get back underway on December 26 with supporters having been left in limbo regarding their festive plans with the TV schedules having not yet been released.

That wait was brought to an end on Monday afternoon with the league having confirmed which games will be moved due to the TV schedule.

Brentfords home clash withTottenhamHotspur will be the first match to welcome the Premier League back, both sides facing off in West London at 12:30pm on Boxing Day. This will be followed bySouthamptons home showdown withBrightonand Hove Albion,NewcastleUniteds trip toLeicesterCity andCrystal Palaces clash withFulham. The final 3pm Boxing Day kick-off is set forEvertons home game with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

There are two rearranged games on the day - Aston Villa welcomingLiverpoolin a late afternoon kick-off, whilstArsenalwill take onWest HamUnited in an 8pm clash.

Chelseas home game withBournemouthandManchester Unitedvs Nottingham Forest will take place at 5:30pm and 8pm respectively on 27th December, whilst Leeds tackleManchester Cityat the Etihad Stadium on 28th December in the late slot.

There of course have been further alterations to the festive fixtures. Leicester Citys trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool will be broadcast by Sky Sports on 30th December.

Arsenals home game withNewcastle Unitedon January 3rd, as well as Manchester Citys visit to Chelsea two days later are among the festive highlights.

Leicester City vs Newcastle United (3pm)

Manchester United vs Nottingham Forest (8pm)

Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea (4:30pm)
